Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Assemble various components involved in a customized refrigerated trailer and body manufacturing process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assemble pre-fabricated material (counterbalance assemblies, covering and wiring, roofing, doors, shelves, etc.) following verbal or written instructions
• Detect and report faulty operations, materials and working conditions to supervisor
• Use safety equipment as instructed. Follow safety regulations and company policies
• Maintain work area, equipment and tools in clean orderly condition
• Promote 5S concept of order and housekeeping
• Cross-train as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working knowledge of hand tools
• Construction and mechanical aptitude
• Basic math and various measuring devices
• Ability to read and understand a standard 16 scale tape measure as well as blue prints

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Physical fitness to perform all functions of designated work areas. This includes small tool use, full arm and leg range of motion, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, work in awkward positions
• Employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 35#, frequently lift and/or move up to 50#
