About The Role

This position shall have full procurement responsibility for the Indirect spend category covering Facilities, Professional Services, Corporate Services, and HR. The role will lead the development of category strategy for the US with additional scope for other facilities across the Americas (Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, & Uruguay), considering all aspects of category management. The role is part of the Americas Procurement Team, reporting into regional procurement leadership.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the procurement strategy for categories of spend that support multiple production facilities across the US and the Americas region, considering all aspects of category management.

Identify, develop, and manage suppliers for products & services, lead sourcing activities and contract negotiations, leverage opportunities to optimize performance and deliver the best value solution for AAK.

Support the implementation of global procurement initiatives within the Americas region, acting as the regional lead where applicable.

Coordinate and ensure alignment with key stakeholders and functions on the implementation of strategic projects, make proposals to executive leadership for approval and direction.

Implement business specific purchasing procedures where needed in collaboration and alignment with other business functions.

Manage collaboration between regional procurement teams and local organizations. Sharing best practices and learnings.

Measure and track performance of the category via financial performance, TCO, CO2 reductions and supplier development

Adhere to company governance, compliance and sustainability targets.

About You

Academic degree preferably in business administration, commerce, engineering or other relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience in a similar procurement discipline.

At least 5 years Procurement professional experience, with a proven track record of implementing procurement strategies at international level across multiple production facilities.

Experience and knowledge of Procurement Processes (sourcing and purchasing) in business-to-business context, including strong negotiation skills and contract management ability. Excellent communication, networking, and influencing skills analytical ability and capability in various ERP suites and Microsoft packages.

Knowledge of Sustainable procurement practices and regulations.

Strong commitment to ethical procurement and governance standard.

Detailed understanding of direct and indirect spend management within an international/global business.

Spanish and/or Portuguese language ability required
