Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Accurately performs most chemical manufacturing functions as needed while working under limited supervision of senior operators.
- Complete priorities in relation to defined schedules to manufacture high performance aerospace materials to prescribed standards and specifications.
- Monitor complex chemical reactions/operations under supervision of senior operators.
- Participate in 5 S activities.
- Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements at all times.
- Facilitate the chemical process, including adding reactants to raw materials and overseeing all steps of the reactions
- Perform tests on the final product
- Make any necessary adjustments to equipment
- Use a forklift to move drums and pallets
- Meet quality standards without delaying production
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Education and Experience
- High school diploma / GED
- Prior experience with chemical production processes or in a manufacturing environment (strongly preferred)
- HazMat certification (preferred)
- 1-2 years of related experience
Skills and Knowledge
- Must be a U.S citizen
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Physical ability to complete job duties
- Ability to follow directions accurately
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
