The Role

We are seeking a curious, analytical, and forward-thinking HR Summer Intern to support key initiatives focused on innovation, process optimization, and digital enablement across the Human Resources function. This role offers hands-on experience in improving HR operations, enhancing employee experience, and contributing to transformation efforts. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with HR teams (e.g., Talent, Total Rewards, Inclusion & Belonging) to identify process improvement opportunities across the employee lifecycle
• Map and analyze current HR processes; recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience

• Support the development and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process flows
• Leverage tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS platforms) to analyze data and generate insights
• Assist in piloting and implementing automation or digital solutions (e.g., workflow tools, AI-enabled solutions)
• Conduct research on emerging HR technologies and industry best practices and apply to real cases
• Contribute to change management and communication plans for new initiatives
• Prepare presentations and updates for HR leadership

Learning Objectives:

• Gain exposure to end-to-end HR operations and transformation initiatives
• Develop skills in process mapping, continuous improvement, and data analysis
• Understand how HR drives business outcomes through innovation and efficiency
• Build executive communication and storytelling capabilities

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Data Analytics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interest in process improvement, HR technology, or digital transformation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
• Exposure to process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking )
• Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio)
• Familiarity with HR systems (SAP SuccessFactors)

Work Environment:

• Model: This is a hybrid role designed to balance flexibility with team collaboration.
• Schedule: The intern is expected to be in-office 3 days per week (Tuesday - Thursday , with the remaining 2 days working remotely. Working from either Shelton, CT or NYC.
• Culture: A collaborative, fast-paced corporate office environment that encourages curiosity and networking with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Travel: Potential travel, as needed, for company meetings or events; <10%
