Job Description

Job Title: Machinist

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Set up CNC machines, including installing tools, fixtures, and work holding devices, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
  • Perform machine and tool offsets to maintain accuracy and precision.
  • Operate CNC mills, lathes, or other machining equipment to produce parts
  • Conduct first-piece inspections and ongoing quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Adjust machine parameters and tooling as needed to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
  • Maintain documentation of setups, programs, and production data.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineers and quality control teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes.
  • Keep up to date with advancements in CNC technology and machining practices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Watertown, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $31.00/hr.
