Sour Duck is a scratch kitchen, bakery, and cafe. We pride ourselves on offering fun and simple Texas cuisine. Our menu is inspired by Texas seasons and the availability of produce and proteins from our local farms.
We're currently seeking enthusiastic and skilled cooks to join our talented team. We're looking for professionals with a solid understanding of ingredients and cooking techniques who can manage their tasks effectively and support their colleagues.

Here's what to bring to the interview:
A basic knife kit, including a chef's knife and paring knife; a peeler is optional.
Sturdy, non-slip shoes.
A Viking helmet, bandana, or hat to keep hair out of your face.
Comfortable clothing pants are preferred over shorts, but ultimately, wear what you feel most comfortable in.
A positive, team-oriented attitude. Everyone here contributes and helps in all areas, from sweeping and taking out the trash to assisting with dishes and tidying up the space.
An inquisitive mind.
Here are the requirements for the position:
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in a restaurant kitchen.
Knowledge of core cooking techniques: sauteing, baking, roasting, braising, grilling, smoking, sauce making, and knife skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
Ability to push/pull a cart up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work long hours on your feet.
Reliable transportation to work (public transit is acceptable).
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers regarding safety and administrative needs.
