Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver Float in Leesburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will provide customer-focused assistance, communicate clearly with site teams, and support a caring culture built on integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures at a technology data center location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal management as required.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, building exteriors, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verifying credentials and directing visitors, vendors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed shift reports and incident documentation, and communicate updates during shift turnovers to support continuity of security-related operations.

Minimum Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
