Overview

What We’re Looking For
As a Software Engineer at CyberPoint, you will design, develop, maintain and enhance software systems that support mission-critical capabilities. You'll work in a collaborative, Agile environment contributing to the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop and maintain software applications in a Linux-based environment
  • Write and optimize code in Python, C++, Java or JavaScript
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile (Scrum) setting
  • Utilize modern development tools and IDEs (eg VSCode, Eclipse)
  • Manage code and version control using Git and GitLab
  • Participate in code reviews, testing and debugging activities
  • Support more complex development efforts and mentor junior engineers as needed
This position is 100% onsite and requires an active TS/SCI+FSP Security Clearance .

Qualifications

What You’ll Need 

  • US Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI + Full Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
    • OR four (4) additional years of SWE experience in lieu of a degree
  • 14+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • Experience working in Linux development environments
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java or JavaScript
  • Experience with Git, GitLab and IDEs (eg VSCode, Eclipse)
  • Experience working in Agile frameworks (Scrum, etc.)
What Will Set You Apart
  • Experience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming
  • Experience with geospatial processing
  • Experience developing 2D or 3D image displays
  • Experience with GitHub or similar version control tools
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence or similar tools
