St. John Neumann Academy (Blacksburg, VA) is a fully accredited (MSA), faith-based school committed to academic excellence and the formation of the whole child. We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated Art Teacher to inspire students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade through meaningful artistic exploration and skill development within a Christ-centered environment. This position may be full-time or part-time depending on the preference and availability of the applicant.

• Plan and deliver engaging art instruction for students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade
• Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, media, styles, and art history concepts
• Foster creativity, confidence, and artistic expression in a supportive classroom environment
• Organize and maintain art materials, supplies, and classroom space
• Display student artwork throughout the school and assist with special art showcases or events
• Collaborate with faculty and staff on interdisciplinary projects and school events
• Uphold and model the mission and values of St. John Neumann Academy

• Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in Art, Art Education, or a related field required
• Previous experience teaching art to children or adolescents required
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Appreciation for and willingness to support the mission of a Catholic, faith-based school
