Position Summary

Provides clinical office support including answering telephone calls entering demographic and insurance/referral information and scheduling appointments.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answers telephone calls and handles patient questions or routes to appropriate personnel.

  • Schedules reschedules cancels and confirms patient appointments.

  • Registers new patients in the system and obtains demographic and insurance information.

  • Assists with obtaining referrals/pre-certifications as needed.

  • Provides packets of information to patients associated with services which may accompany the appointment.

  • Assists other clinical support staff during peak time vacation/illnesses.

Salary Range

$16.23 - $21.88 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including ones qualifications and performance equity with others in the department market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
