Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Employment-Based Immigration Attorney to join our San Diego office. This role focuses exclusively on employment-based immigrant visa matters, including EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 petitions.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience handling PERM labor certifications and I-140 immigrant petitions and will be comfortable managing cases from initiation through final adjudication.
This position does not involve asylum, removal defense, or humanitarian immigration matters.
Job Responsibilities: - Manage employment-based green card matters (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3)
- Prepare and file PERM labor certification applications
- Draft and file I-140 immigrant petitions
- Prepare National Interest Waiver (NIW) petitions where applicable
- Advise corporate clients on employment-based immigration strategy
- Draft legal support letters and detailed petition briefs
- Respond to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs)
- Work directly with HR representatives and corporate stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with DOL and USCIS regulations
- Track priority dates and assist with adjustment of status strategy
Qualifications: - Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active bar license in good standing (California preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment-based immigration law
- Demonstrated experience handling:
- PERM labor certifications
- EB-1 petitions
- EB-2 petitions (including NIW preferred)
- EB-3 petitions
- I-140 filings
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience working with corporate clients preferred
