Job Title: Legal Assistant / Paralegal

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our client to support high-level commercial litigation matters by delivering organized, deadline-driven legal and administrative support throughout the lifecycle of complex cases. This role plays a key part in keeping attorneys prepared for filings, discovery, depositions, and trial by ensuring information flows smoothly and accurately. The position is onsite in Los Angeles, CA and offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced litigation teams on sophisticated matters. This is a direct hire opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Compensation:
$95,000 – $110,000 per year

Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, normal business hours with flexibility based on trial schedules

Key Responsibilities of the Legal Assistant / Paralegal:

• Support case initiation and client onboarding by gathering critical information, opening matters, and managing engagement documentation
• Coordinate attorney calendars, meetings, court deadlines, and communications to ensure seamless day-to-day case flow
• Oversee document organization, including pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and large-scale productions in both electronic and physical formats
• Prepare, finalize, and file legal documents in compliance with state and federal court rules, including e-filing requirements
• Assist with discovery, depositions, and trial preparation by organizing exhibits, binders, witness materials, and litigation support resources
• Track time, process expenses, support billing and collections follow-up, and maintain strict confidentiality standards

Qualifications and Skills for the Legal Assistant / Paralegal:

• At least three years of recent experience supporting complex commercial litigation within a law firm environment
• Background working on sophisticated matters such as intellectual property, antitrust, securities, employment, product liability, or business disputes
• Strong working knowledge of state and federal court e-filing procedures and litigation deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with precision while meeting strict timelines and trial-related demands
• Comfort working with legal databases, document management systems, and Microsoft Outlook
• Professional communication skills paired with sound judgment, discretion, and a service-oriented mindset
