Job Description

Are you an experienced Medical Scribe in Family Practice seeking a new position with an outstanding practice? We are looking for a skilled and experienced Medical Scribe to assist with patient rounds and transcribing notes. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a passion for healthcare. This candidate must have experience in Primary Care, ER, Internal Medicine or Urgent Care as a Medical Scribe.  ***MUST HAVE EPIC EXPERIENCE***  Please let us know if you are interested in this opportunity.

salary: $47,840 - $49,920 per year

Responsibilities

  • Accompany the physician into the patient examination room to accurately transcribe the patient's history, physical exam findings, and all aspects of the patient encounter.
  • Procedural Documentation: Accurately log any in-office clinical procedures performed during the appointment.
  • Document all clinical information in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, including History of Present Illness (HPI), Review of Systems (ROS), Physical Exam (PE), diagnostic test results, and Assessment & Plan.
  • Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology studies, and medications, as directed by the physician.
  • Document the dictated patient history, physical examination, family, social, and past medical histories
  • Assist physician 
  • Workflow Optimization: Support the clinical team with various administrative tasks to improve overall office throughput and patient experience.
  • Scribes must document their signature (name and title) along with a date and time stamp within the medical record
  • Scribes accompany the provider upon patient interview and examination
  • Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system
  • Completing all administrative tasks efficiently
  • Working with a supervising Physician to complete and submit medical records
